In a sufi path, when you begin to listen the vibrationless vibrations, that state is called the begining of Zerobum. This a divine sound that connects you with the divinity.Bilal wrote this 5 months ago
Zeer Bum is a deeply spiritual idea that emerged from KashmirShaivism - the rich heritage of Kashmir from 6th to 12th century that also informed Kashmir's poetry rooted in Rishi tradition
One of the four schools of Kashmir Shaivism is Spanda School founded by it's first exponent Vasugupta who got his inspiration at the Shankar Pal located in the Zabarwan in the 8th century - around the time the great emperor Lalitaditya ruled most of Asia with his capital in Srinagara.
Zeer Bum is the energy in the transcendental vibration (vibrationless vibration) that is central to all of manifestation THAT IS (comprehensible) and THAT IS NOT (transcendental). Quite intriguing that in modern physics E=hv where E is Energy = h is Plank's constant and v (Greek symbol neu) denotes frequency of vibration
These and much more profound ideas evolved in Kashmir 800 years before Galileo was punished in Europe for proving that sun does not revolve around the earth.Vijay Dhar wrote this 7 months ago

I am starting a thread to know multiple, deeper and real meaning of the word zeer-O-Bum pronounced as “zero bum”. One meaning I have heard( don’t know) is , these are two, earlier Kashmiri musical instruments , “Zeer” and “Bum”. Zeer referring to wired instrument and Bum as beat based or support - like the word Bum is Kashmiri. Another version is its a single instrument like simple version of sareng( the musical instrument) having the wired base(zeer) and Bow ( Bum). Also two parts of the instrument Tabla are referred to as zeer ta bum. However , this word Zeer-O-Bum is also used in the spiritual writings and poems. The meaning seemingly seems like a union or unison of two like in Tabla we only hear one sound. Please note : The above is only an understanding thag may not be accurate or even correct. It’s only an attempt to get know the real meaning.RBakshi. wrote this 1 year ago
